Terms & Community Standards

Waupaca Voice exists to replace scattered social-media complaints with organized, respectful, useful community information. These standards are what keep it that way. By submitting anything here, you agree to them.

Your responsibilities as a contributor

Provide truthful information to the best of your knowledge.
Distinguish firsthand observations from assumptions or information you received from others.
Only upload photographs you have permission to share.
Do not post threats, harassment, doxxing or discriminatory content.
Do not name individual employees or private residents unnecessarily.
Do not accuse anyone of criminal activity without reliable supporting information.
Do not submit private addresses, medical information or other sensitive personal data.

What we may do with a submission

We may approve, reject, redact, summarize, label or remove any submission.
Moderation does not certify that an allegation is true.
Petition totals are informational and nonbinding.
Duplicate or fraudulent support may be removed.
We may close, archive or decline a proposed petition.
We may decline content that falls outside the platform's scope.

Approving a report means a moderator reviewed it for relevance, privacy, respectful language and compliance with these standards. It does not mean Waupaca Voice has independently proven the statements in it. Reports describe residents’ experiences and allegations unless expressly identified as independently verified facts.

Your content remains yours

You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting, you give Waupaca Voice permission to store, moderate, display and — according to the specific permissions you select on the submission form — present it to the appropriate officials. You can withdraw a petition signature or request removal of your submission at any time through the corrections process.

What petition support means

Supporting a community petition documents your backing for a request. It is not an election, referendum, official City or County filing, or statutory direct-legislation petition, and it does not legally require any agency, official, contractor or organization to act. No guarantee of service or outcome

Waupaca Voice is a volunteer-operated community project provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we cannot guarantee any particular governmental response, action or result. Presenting a documented summary to officials is something we may do when an issue shows meaningful community concern — it is not a promise attached to any individual submission.

Corrections and appeals

If your submission was rejected, redacted or merged and you disagree, or if you believe something published here is inaccurate or should be removed, our corrections, appeals and removals process explains how to ask for review. We keep a record of material corrections.

When you submit, you confirm

The submission describes your own experience, or information you are authorized to provide.
The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You agree to these community standards.
You understand submission does not constitute an official report to the City, County or any government agency.
